Expoquimia. The international chemistry event

The Expoquimia XVII edition, International Chemical Exhibition of Fira Barcelona, ​​changed dates and will take place from September 30 to October 3, 2014. The objective is to concentrate in four days the duration of the fair.

The biggest event of the Spanish chemical and southern Europe, will be held in the Gran Via. The President of the Business Federation of Chemical Industry (FEIQUE), Luis Serrano is the new president of the comittee, replacing Rafael Forguet, president since 1999, which has been named chairman in recognition of his work.

Expoquimia is the largest hall of the Spanish chemical industry show. With an extensive scientific program consisting of a number of conferences, workshops and seminars. Among the events organized in the framework of Expoquimia, the show include events like the Mediterranean Congress of Chemical Engineering or the Days of Instrumental Analysis (JHA) that make the show the reference point of scientific knowledge transfer.

At this time, the direction of the hall is working on its design and has already managed to  end up with 80% of  speakers who will participate in the Mediterranean Chemical Engineering Congress , organized by the Spanish Society SEQUI. At this point, it is already confirmed the participation of Mr. Rafiqui Gani , prestigious Technical University of Denmark, as one of the conference speaker. Prominent speakers such as Gintaras Reklaitis , a professor at Purdue University ( USA), and Peter Jaffe, Princeton University (USA ), Professor Adisa Azapagic University of Manchester (UK ) or the president of Gamesa , José Antonio Garrido will be also participating at the event.

The new president of the show , Luis Serrano is , since 2007 , General Director of the «Belgian Solvay» chemical multinacional of Spain and Portugal, where the company has mainly developed his career.
