Extract water from the air when the humidity is low in sunlight.

More than twenty years ago, Omar Yaghi was one of the main authors of the metallic-organic structure that combines metals with magnesium or aluminum and organic molecules and they obtain a matter highly porous. Since then, multiple metallic- organic structure has been used over the world, making a difference with the past.

In 2014 Yaghi and his team from the University of California at Berkeley update their project and got a prototype that can extract 2.8 liters in an environment with 20 – 30 percent humidity in 12h. These results were obtained with one kilogram of metallic-organic structure and with the heat of the sunlight. Just as they demonstrated that these prototype worked in real-life conditions.
